With reference to Sir William Peel's despatch
No. 92 of the 1st March, 1932, I have the honour to
transmit a second supplementary schedule for the quarter
ending 31st December, 1931, or additional provision to
meet expenditure in excess of the Estimates.
2. Reports Nos. 2, 4 and 5 of 1932 of the proceedings of the Finance Committee are attached in
support of the schedule.
3. In this connection I would invite your
attention to items Nos. 1, 10, 13, 15, 18 and 20
which are in excess of the amount fixed under Colonial
Regulation 281 and to request your covering authority
for the expenditure. Item No. 1 is a formal transfer of
funds already voted and the remainder were necessitated
by the fall in exchange.
4. All these items have received the approval
of the Legislative Council,
